Bosnia Entity Halts Projects With China Over Coronavirus Fears

The Serb-led entity in Bosnia, Republika Srpska, has halted all projects being implemented with Chinese companies owing to concerns about the possible spread of the coronavirus.

Milorad Dodik, Serbian member of the Bosnian Presidency, announced the move on Sunday to Serbian television Pink, noting the potential economic consequences of the continued spread of the virus.

Bosnian Serb Ministry Accused of Gagging Educators

University professors from Bosnia's mainly Serbian entity, Republika Srpska, have complained about a new decision that appears to ban them from attend state-level events that discuss education in the entity.

They told BIRN that the ban limits their freedom of speech and their role in society as educators.

Croatia, Bosnia to Discuss Key Bridge Project

The long-delayed construction of the new bridge which will connect the city of Gradiska in Bosnia's Republika Srpska entity to the Croatian municipality of Stara Gradiska across the River Sava will be discussed by the Bosnian and Croatian authorities at a meeting organised by the European Investment Bank in Zagreb next week.
