The rhythimic gymnastics team of Bulgaria may have a second performance to bid farewell to fans after their show at the packed Arena Armeec hall on Thursday.

Twelve thousand people watched the performance live marking the end to the ensemble's years-long international career full of trophies.

The Black Sea city of Varna is to host some of the FIVB Volleyball World League matches next year, a volleyball official says.

The Palace of Varna has been preferred over Arena Armeec sports hall in Sofia for its more affordable rent, news website Dnevnik.bg quotes the secretary general of Bulgaria's volleyball federation, Vladimir Nikolov, as saying.

Bautista Agut Triumphs in First Edition of Sofia Open

Spain's Roberto Bautista Agut won the first edition of Garanti Koza Sofia Open which was held in the Bulgarian capital last week.

In the final played on Sunday, first seeded Agut defeated Serbian Viktor Troicki, who was seeded second, with 6:3, 6:4.

The match attracted 8500 spectators in the Arena Armeec hall and lasted one hour and twenty minutes.
