Intellectual games in ‘The Clouds’
Dimitris Karantzas' production of Aristophanes' comedy "The Clouds," playing at the Ancient Theater of Epidaurus on Friday and Saturday, is the second to last show on the Greek Festival's ancient drama program at the 4th century BC theater.

The Frogs | Athens | May 3 & 4
The eccentric Opera Chaotique duo and the renowned Berlin-based Merlin Puppet Theater join forces at the Greek National Opera's Alternative Stage in a subversive reworking of Aristophanes' comedy "The Frogs," for two final performances on Friday and Saturday. In this reworking, Dionysus meets Edgar Allan Poe, Charles Bukowski, Artur Rimbaud and the spirit of Tom Waits.

Aristophanes & Cyclops | Epidaurus | July 21 & 22
The Greek National Theater goes on stage at the Ancient Theater of Epidaurus on Friday and Saturday, July 21 and 22, with a kooky adaptation of Aristophanes' "Peace," directed in the form of a musical by Constantinos Arvanitakis, with a score composed by Nikos Kypourgos and starring the unorthodox musician/actor Tzimis Panousis as Trygaeus.
