The US House of Representatives voted overwhelmingly on Tuesday to recognize the mass killings of Armenians a century ago as a genocide, a symbolic but historic vote instantly denounced by Turkey.

The Armenian Patriarchate of Turkey declared its support for the Turkish army in Operation Peace Spring on Sept. 11. Sahak Maşalyan, head of Armenian Patriarchate of Turkey, spoke to the press in Istanbul about the ongoing operation.

According to the Serbian President, the goal is to further strengthen the friendship between the Armenian and Serbian people. After conducting discussion with Armenian President Armen Sarkissian, Vucic indicated that the realization of at least part of what they talked about would significantly strengthen our friendship.

Prior to conducting a tête-à-tête meeting of the two presidents, the President of Armenia and the delegation that he heads, which includes Foreign Affairs Minister Artak Apitonyan and numerous businessmen, attended a ceremonial welcome in front of the Palace of Serbia, with the Guard of the Serbian Army, a red carpet and the sounding of the anthems of the two countries.

A selection of photos taken by legendary Turkish-Armenian photographer Ara Güler, who passed away last October, will be on display in New York in September.

Turkey on Aug. 27 commemorated a slain military attache to Canada who was assassinated by an Armenian terror group in 1982.

Turkey on June 12 slammed a Dutch parliament resolution on the 1915 Armenian events against Turkey.         

The drabbing by Italy last Saturday and above all Tuesday's 3-2 home loss to Armenia has split the Greece camp into two, as the coaching setup refuses to see reality and targeted captain Sokratis Papastathopoulos who stated the obvious, that the Euro 2020 campaign is all but over and extensive changes are needed in the national team.

Cyprus and Greece have expanded their tripartite cooperation agreements beyond the Eastern Mediterranean region by including Armenia in their regional cooperation formations, Cypriot Foreign Minister Nikos Christodoulides said on Tuesday.

Turkey's main opposition on April 12 criticized France's declaration of April 24 as a day commemorating the 1915 events between Turkey and Armenia.
