Turkish Prime Ministry Inspection Board wanted to remove two key names out of Dink murder report: Witness

The head of the Turkish Prime Ministry Inspection Board has asked for two key names to be removed from the report on the killing of Armenian-origin Turkish journalist Hrant Dink, one of the inspectors who prepared the report has said. 

Eight suspects arrested in murder case of Turkish-Armenian journalist Dink

Eight suspects, including police and journalists, were arrested on March 28 on charges related to the murder of prominent Armenian-Turkish journalist Hrant Dink, state-run Anadolu Agency has reported.       
Dink, the founder of the bilingual Armenian-Turkish weekly newspaper Agos, was shot dead in an Istanbul street on Jan. 19, 2007.

'I did my part,' says Hrant Dink suspect, denying allegations of misconduct 

Osman Gülbel, a former deputy head of the Police Intelligence Department charged in the case on the killing of Armenian-origin Turkish journalist Hrant Dink, has told an Istanbul court that he "did what he was supposed to do" by sending a document containing information that Dink was to be targeted to the necessary offices.

Officials did not fail to prevent the assassination of Turkish-Armenian journalist Hrant Dink, as the problem actually stemmed from a coordination failure between the police intelligence department and police in Trabzon, where the plot was allegedly organized, former Istanbul police department head Celalettin Cerrah has said. 

Religious leaders stand together against coup attempt in Turkey

Religious leaders in Turkey condemned violence in a joint declaration about the coup attempt in the country that started late on July 15. 

"Terror and violence wherever and whoever they come from can never be defended and regarded as legitimate. Killing one person is like killing the entire humanity and is absolutely not accepted by believers," the statement read.

An exhibition illustrating eight-centuries of Turkish-Armenian relations and hosted in Istanbul by the Turkish Foreign Ministry has been extended due to due to overwhelming interest, with Turkish diplomats expressing the desire to look at Turkish-Armenian relations from a humane perspective.
