New York's new law barring sales of bullet-resistant vests to most civilians doesn't cover the type of armor worn by the gunman who killed 10 people at a Buffalo supermarket, a gap that could limit its effectiveness in deterring future military-style assaults.

Made by Austrian goldsmith Konrad Seusenhofer, a leading armor manufacturer of the 16-th century, this strange-looking Horned helmet was originally part of a suit of armor presented by the Holy Roman Emperor Maximilian I to Henry VIII in 1514.

BELGRADE - Lithuania has printed out a 75-page guide to be issued to its citizens in preparation for a potential incursion from the east. The pamphlet promises to turn an ordinary resident into a novice guerilla fighter.

"It is important that civilians have the will the resist, this will make it more difficult for the aggressor country to feel comfortable," states the manual.

Russian Army shows off new tank ahead of Victory Day

MOSCOW -- Russia's new tank, Armata T-14, has been shown publicly for the first time on Tuesday in Moscow.

The new tanks, the design of which is described by Russian and some western experts as "superior to all western models," will take part in the Victory Day military parade on Saturday.
