Picturing War: Professor Scavenges for Food in Besieged Sarajevo

Bosnian photographer, film director and cinematographer Sahin Sisic documented life in the besieged capital Sarajevo during the 1992-95 war, a period that formed the rest of his private and professional life.

One of the most memorable pictures he recalled from that time was his photograph of professor Semsudin Harlac, which was taken in 1992.

53 tons of waste collected from Marmara Sea

Some 53 tons of waste have been collected in nine months within the scope of a project initiated to carry out awareness training on marine cleaning in the Marmara Sea.

According to the report, between September 2021 and June 2022, 52.5 tons of waste, equivalent to the daily waste generated by approximately 46,000 people, were collected and recycled.

More than 2,500 Covid cases logged in past three days

Ljubljana – A total of 2,664 new cases of coronavirus were confirmed in Slovenia from Friday to Sunday in what is practically level with the figure a week ago, fresh official data shows. A total of three Covid patients died. Compared to the week before, the combined case count is nearly 2% up.
