An official life satisfaction survey for 2021 shows the Turkish nation is slightly happier than in 2020, with the elderly, women and married individuals reporting higher rates of contentment with their lives than others.

Covid-19 figures keep improving
Ljubljana – Slovenia’s coronavirus curve keeps falling both in terms of new cases and hospitalisations. A total of 4,542 new cases were confirmed on Wednesday, just over a third of the figure reported a week ago. Government data shows a total of 513 patients were being treated in hospitals for Covid-19 as their main condition this morning, including 108 in intensive care units.

EODY: 93 COVID-19 deaths, over 19,000 newly confirmed infections, 484 intubated
The National Public Health Organisation today announced 93 COVID-19 deaths and 25,095 infections (45 detected at points of entry into the country), in the last 24 hours.
Since the beginning of the pandemic 25,095 people have died of COVID-19 in Greece, 95 percent of whom had an underlying medical condition and/or were age 70 or over.
Bulgarian Meteorology Institute Stopped its Protest, there will be Weather Forecasts
The National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology has stopped its protest, and weather forecasts for the media have been restored, BNT reported.
The director of the institute, Prof. Hristomir Branzov, explained that the reason was that their protest was beginning to become politicized.

The volume of world trade in 2021 reached a record high of 28.5 trillion dollars. This is an increase of 25% compared to 2020, and compared to 2019 it is an increase of 13%. Growth in this area is expected to slow in the first quarter of this year, according to a report released today by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD).
