Exports of the Turkish defense and aerospace industry climbed to an all-time high of $7.1 billion in 2024, rising by 29 percent compared to the previous year, says Haluk Görgün, head of the Turkish Defense Industries Secretariat (SSB).

Aselsan, Türkiye's leading defense company, has inked a new deal with the Presidency of Defense Industries (SSB) regarding oil and natural gas pipeline security.

Deliveries under the agreement will be made through 2025-2028, the company said in a filing with the stock exchange.

The Turkish defense and aviation industry's export revenue already hit an all-time high of $5.76 billion in the first 11 months of 2024, marking a 19 percent increase from the same period of 2023.

The 12-month trailing exports of Turkish defense companies surged 18.4 percent to $6.5 billion as of November.
