The 30 International Aspendos Opera and Ballet Festival, which opened on Sept. 4 with the opera 'Aida' in Antalya's historical theater of Aspendos, will continue with Puccini's 'Tosca' opera on Sept 8. The event will also present Tchaikovsky's 'Swan Ballet' on Sept 13 and 14, Minkus' 'La Bayadere' on Sept 17 and the Gala Concert on Sept 21

Verdi's 'Aida' opera will open the 30th International Aspendos Opera and Ballet Festival will open in the historical Aspendos Theater in Antalya on Sept 4. This year no foreign countries participate in the festival but foreign soloists will take the stage during the performances that will continue through Sept 21.

The 29th Aspendos International Opera and Ballet Festival, organized by the General Directorate of State Opera and Ballet, will start with the famous opera "AIDA" on Sept. 10.

The festival will bring opera and ballet lovers together once again at the historical Aspendos Theater in the southern province of Antalya.

It has been reported that the 28th International Aspendos Opera and Ballet Festival, organized by the General Directorate of State Opera and Ballet in the southern province of Antalya, has welcomed the highest number of people this year.

The 28th International Aspendos Opera and Ballet Festival will be organized by the Culture and Tourism Ministry at the Aspendos Ancient Theater in Antalya between Sept. 4 and 12 and will open with the opera "Murat IV."

The State Opera and Ballet is preparing to present the International Istanbul Opera Festival, the International Aspendos Opera and Ballet Festival, the International Ephesus Opera and Ballet Festival and the International Bodrum Ballet Festival to art lovers this summer by taking the COVID-19 measures strictly.

The ancient city of Aspendos, which attracts attention with its architectural structure in the southern province of Antalya, offers history and nature together.

Home to one of the rare ancient theaters and aqueducts that have survived to this day in the Serik district, Aspendos also draws attention with its architectural feature.

2020 was undeniably the hardest one for culture and arts in Turkey, as it was all over the world, due to COVID-19 pandemic. The State Theaters (DT), State Opera and Ballet (DOB), the choirs affiliated with the Culture and Tourism Ministry, regional orchestras and movie theaters had to pull the plug on all their events in March when the virus was first seen in Turkey.

Mustafa Erdoğan, who leads arguably one of Turkey's most famous dance troupes, believes his household name group can no longer perform at a venue near the Aspendos Ancient Theater, located in the southern province of Antalya's Serik district, due to its landlord's high rent demand.

The International Aspendos Opera Ballet Festival will feature renowned artists and works of art between Sept. 1 and 18 in Turkey's southern province of Antalya.
