A third suspect was apprehended on Tuesday over the death of a 29-year-old police officer during a car chase in Aspropyrgos, West Attica.

A 29-year-old police officer from the DIAS motorcycle unit was killed during a car chase in Aspropyrgos, western Attica, in the early hours of Monday.
Man shot dead in Roma settlement
A 28-year-old man was shot dead in a Roma settlement in Aspropyrgos in western Attica on Monday. According to reports, the perpetrator entered the settlement and opened fire on the 28-year-old. Police have launched an investigation to locate the perpetrator.

112 alert issued following blaze at Aspropyrgos recycling unit
The civil protection authorities have issued a 112 alert to residents in Aspropyrgos, west of Athens, asking them to stay in their homes and to close their doors and windows after a fire broke out in a recycling unit.
The fire, which broke out at 2:10 p.m. in the exterior of the property, is being fueled by burning tires, vehicles and recyclable materials.
