Online conversations revealed by Kathimerini shed light on the ongoing investigation into the alleged prostitution racket involving girls aged 14 to 18 in Athens. Six arrests have been made by the police in connection with the case.

One of the most important IKEA supply centers worldwide, that which will supply Eastern Mediterranean countries with the products of the Swedish giant, will start operating about a year from now, in Aspropyrgos, West Attica.

Investment firm HIG Capital is creating one of the largest logistics groups in Southeast Europe, aiming to render Greece a distribution center for the whole of Europe and especially Germany, for products of large companies from Asia, but also other countries, such as the US and Turkey.

Before 2023 expired, an international cruise company with significant activity in Greece received an unexpected request: Would be interested in chartering for at least 18 months to a Greek supply chain company one of its ships to accommodate 800 foreign workers slated for employment in the construction of a new logistics center in Aspropyrgos, West Attica? A third suspect was apprehended on Tuesday over the death of a 29-year-old police officer during a car chase in Aspropyrgos, West Attica.

A 29-year-old police officer from the DIAS motorcycle unit was killed during a car chase in Aspropyrgos, western Attica, in the early hours of Monday.

A 28-year-old man was shot dead in a Roma settlement in Aspropyrgos in western Attica on Monday. According to reports, the perpetrator entered the settlement and opened fire on the 28-year-old. Police have launched an investigation to locate the perpetrator.

The civil protection authorities have issued a 112 alert to residents in Aspropyrgos, west of Athens, asking them to stay in their homes and to close their doors and windows after a fire broke out in a recycling unit.

The fire, which broke out at 2:10 p.m. in the exterior of the property, is being fueled by burning tires, vehicles and recyclable materials.
