Bulgaria's top ranking male tennis player Grigor Dimitrov is the country's most popular celebrity for a second consecutive year according to the Bulgarian edition of Forbes magazine.

Forbes Bulgaria announced its list of the country's 70 most popular celebrities for a third consecutive year on Thursday.

Serbs Invited to 'Risky' Football Match in Albania

A group of 70 Serbian students will support the Serbian football team during the game in Elbasan, which is widely seen as a risky event after a match between the two teams in Belgrade ended in a brawl last year.

The Albanian football association announced on October 1 that the Serbian students had been invited to Elbasan by their Albanian colleagues.  

Bulgaria's Alarm Siren System to Be Tested at 13h

Bulgaria is to test its alarm system on Thursday, with sirens due to sound in eleven towns and cities across the country.

In alphabetical order, 11 venues are: Varna, Burgas, Kardzhali, Montana, Pazardzhik, Pleven, Plovdiv, Ruse, Smolyan, Sofia and Vratsa.

Additionally, the sirens will go on in places within the 30-kilometer zone around the Kozloduy nuclear power plant.

Bulgaria's Ivelin Popov Voted Best Player in Russian Premier League for September

Bulgarian football player Ivelin Popov, who plays for Spartak Moscow, was voted both best player for the tenth round of the Russian Premier League and for the month of September.

Popov made an excellent performance in the derby against the reigning champion Zenit, scoring a beautiful goal for his team to come in the lead with 2:1.

Historic win by Olympiacos in Emirates Stadium

Greek champions Olympiacos Piraeus won its first Champions League game in England on Tuesday evening after 12 previous win-less attempts, stunning Arsenal 3-2 in the Champions League Group F matchup.
The Greek side went up twice, with Arsenal tying at 2-2 before Alfred Finnbogason’s 66th-minute tip in proved to be the clincher.
Dinamo Zagreb is Olympiacos’ next opponent.

Platini and Blatter under investigations on charges of illicit transactions
