The 'Magic Summer' international classical music festival is back with 11 extraordinary concerts that will take place between July 7 and August 19 at the Great Hall of the Romanian Athenaeum, a release informs.

A building in the central Athens district of Thiseio that housed the historic Athenaeum Conservatory - organizer of the Maria Callas Grand Prix - for 22 years, suffered extensive looting in an act of barbarism by unknown assailants.

Vocalist Fenia Papadodima and the Amorgo Quintet - guitarist Grigoris Danis, bassist Giorgos Palamiotis, flutist Leonidas Sarantopoulos and drummer Thanos Hatzianagnostou - perform world jazz numbers at the Athenaeum-Kelari venue in Athens on Thursday, January 5. Starts at 10 p.m.
