Bodies of Greeks who died in Norman Atlantic disaster to be flown to Greece
A Greek air force plane was expected to carry the bodies of three Greek nationals who died in the Norman Atlantic ferry disaster in December back to Greece.
The aircraft was set to leave Italy? Bari airport and reach Athens International Airport.
The cost of the transport operation was expected to be covered in its entirety by the Greek Defense Ministry.
Aegean Air to serve 14 destinations from Cyprus

Aegean Airlines announced on Tuesday its expansion to Cyprus, with the aim of covering the gap created by the closure of Cyprus Airways, adding three more aircraft to its Larnaca hub and increasing the direct destinations served to and from Cyprus to 14.

Deadly car explosion on Athens highway believed to be caused by bomb
A male motorist was killed and his female passenger was seriously injured after the car in which they were traveling exploded on the Attiki Odos highway in Athens on Monday morning, with police suggesting the blast was caused by an explosive device.
Major rise in air arrivals this year

More Britons and Americans eyeing Greece for vacations

Greece enjoyed the fifth-biggest increase in Google searches from the UK market this year in the category of emerging holiday destinations, according to a chart published by the worlds biggest online search engine.
Italy was top, followed by Iceland and Portugal.
Passenger traffic at Athens airport flies higher

For the first time in five years November traffic at Athens International Aiorpoirt exceeded 1 million passengers.
Figures released on Wednesday by AIA showed that 1.04 million pasengers used the countrys main air terminal last month, up 27.4 percent from November 2013.

Aegean Airlines flying high, nine-month results show
Aegean Airlines reported a strong set of nine-month 2014 results on Thursday, driven by successful network expansion and Olympic Air synergies.
Consolidated revenues increased by 10 percent to 736 million euros, pre-tax earnings improved to 105.4 million euros from 75.9 million a year earlier while net earnings rose 31 percent to 78.6 million euros from 60 million in 2013.
Volotea to fly from Greece to Italy starting in April
Spanish low-cost carrier Volotea announced it will be using Athens International Airport as a hub as of spring, when it will start operating scheduled flights from the Greek capital to four destinations in Italy and even a domestic service.
AIA flights to increase by 21 pct this winter

Athens International Airport is expecting traffic to keep increasing this winter, as schedules include 21 percent more flights than the same season last year.
Every week there will be 110 more international flights as well as 85 extra domestic services, while another 18 existing services will become more frequent.
