Authorities probe deaths of children in water-related incidents in Attica
A 10-year-old girl lost her life on Sunday under undisclosed circumstances in a residential complex pool located in the town of Nea Makri on Attica's eastern coast.
The child was discovered unconscious in the pool and was transported by an EKAV ambulance to a nearby health center, where her death was confirmed.
Eco groups urge review of river management project

Corrections officer’s car damaged in hand grenade attack
The car of a man who works at Athens' high-security Korydallos prison was targeted in an explosion at the district of Haidari, western Athens, early Saturday morning, police said.
The vehicle was parked in an open parking area when a hand grenade exploded at 5 a.m., causing extensive damages to the black jeep and minor ones to two more cars parked nearby.

Bottlenecks formed at Athens entry points as voters return
Cars formed long lines on national roads around Attica on Sunday afternoon, as voters returned from voting centers outside the capital.
Traffic was particularly heavy on the Athens-Corinth national highway heading to Athens, particularly from the Corinth Canal to Nea Peramos.
Real estate prices reaching record highs
The rate of house price growth is continuously exceeding record highs, according to data compiled by the Bank of Greece for the first quarter of this year. Indicatively, prices rose 14.5% year-on-year in Greece as a whole, with even higher increases in the two biggest urban centers, reaching 16.5% in Attica and 16.1% in Thessaloniki.
