Poland's President Signs off on Highly Controversial Holocaust Law
The phrase "Polish death camp" has long upset and infuriated many people in Poland.
It's an inaccurate term most often used by uninformed tourists, journalists or politicians in relation to Auschwitz-Birkenau, the notorious former Nazi concentration camp which lies in southern Poland.
The Holocaust Must Never be Forgotten
January 27th is the International Holocaust Memorial Day. On that day in 1945 the few survivors of the Auschwitz concentration camp were released. This happens in the process of the victory of the Allied troops over Hitler and the entry of the Red Army into the camp. Auschwitz remains a symbol of the Nazi genocide.

Exhibition about Croat WW2 death camp Jasenovac to open at UN
First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic will officially open a Serbian-Jewish exhibition "Jasenovac - the Right Not to Forget."
The Serbian government announced this on Tuesday, adding that the exhibition will be opened on January 25 at the United Nations building in New York City, organized by historians from seven countries.

Germany rejects Polish threat to demand WWII reparations
Berlin has dismissed Warsaw's demands for paying massive World War II reparations, saying the bitter historical issue was fully resolved sixty years ago and that there are no grounds to revive it.
"Poland made a binding decision in August 1953… to relinquish demands for further war reparations," said German government spokesman Steffen Seibert as quoted by AFP.
