Orban’s ‘Greater Hungary’ Map Creates Waves in Neighbourhood
Croatian President Zoran Milanovic responded artfully on Thursday to a provocative Facebook post by the Hungarian leader that depicted a map of Greater Hungary - i.e. with the much bigger borders of the old Hungarian kingdom before the end of World War I, which included much of modern Croatia.

Monument to Gavrilo Princip unveiled in Belgrade
A monument to Gavrilo Princip was unveiled on Sunday in Belgrade in the presence of Serbian and RS presidents Tomislav Nikolic and Milorad Dodik.
Princip was a member of the Young Bosnia (Mlada Bosna) movement in the early 20th century, who on Vidovdan (St. Vitus Day, June 28) 1914 in Sarajevo assassinated Austrian Archduke Franz Ferdinand.

Serbia’s president unveiled a statue of Princip, whose murder of Archduke Franz Ferdinand helped to spark World War I, saying that the assassin tried to liberate Balkan countries from slavery.

Austrians unfamiliar with war crimes of their ancestors
VIENNA - Little is known in Austria about war crimes committed by Austro-Hungarian soldiers during World War I (1914-1918), Austrian historian Robert Goeckel stated.
In a text issued by the Vienna-based daily Die Presse, Goeckel stated that the documentation of Swiss forensic scientist professor Archibald Rudolph Reiss on the crimes was never translated into German.
