Migrants to be returned to Greece, Italy from German-Austrian border, Seehofer says

Undocumented migrants at the German border with Austria who have travelled to Europe via Greece or Italy must be returned to either Athens and Rome accordingly, German Interior Minister Horst Seehofer said on Thursday following talks with Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz in Vienna. 

Austria Keeps Door Part-Closed To Croatian Workers

After Slovenia on Friday announced that Croatian nationals no longer need visas to work there, Austria remains the only EU country that is still restricting access of Croatian citizens to its labour market.

Austria warned in March that it intended to seek the approval of the European Commission to extend the transitional period until 2020.

Anarchist group throws flyers outside Austrian ambassador's house

Members of the self-styled anarchist group Rouvikonas on Sunday threw flyers outside the house of the Austrian Ambassador to Greece, Andrea Ikic-Bohm, in the northern suburb of Paleo Psychico.

In a text published on an anti-establishment website, the group said the action was a response to Austria's anti-migrant policies and measures. 

Vienna is Ready to be Mediator between the UK and Russia

Austria is ready to become a mediator to settle disagreements between the UK and Russia over the Sergei Skripal case. This was announced by Foreign Minister Karin Kneissl, quoted by TASS.

"We are open to everyone, and if we are to ask for mediation efforts (between Russia and the UK), we are happy and ready for that," said Kneissl, in front of the Austrian TV channel OER Ef 2.
