Romania's new automotive sales up 6.3 pct in Q1

Romania's new automotive sales were up 6.3 pct in Q1 2019 compared to the same period last year, standing at 38,253 units, the Association of Automotive Manufacturers and Importers (APIA) said in release on Tuesday. The market analysis shows that domestic sales are further mainly supported by legal entities that account for 72 pct of the total car purchases in the first three months of 2019.

Dacia displaying five models and one of most inviting Paris Motor Show 2018 stands

In this year's Paris Motor Show edition, Dacia is displaying five models at in one of the most inviting and stylish stands.

The showcased models are Logan MCV, Lodgy Stepway, Sandero, Sandero Stepway and Duster, with the latest including the new 1.3 TCe petrol engine introduced in Paris.

Thousands of Bucharesters attend Dacia 50th anniversary events

Thousands of people attended on Sunday events organised in Herastrau Park in Bucharest to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the first Dacia automobile.

Car enthusiasts could watch automobiles produced in the last five decades at the Mioveni plant displayed in Piata Charles de Gaulle. The dozen models then participated in a parade between Piata Charles de Gaulle and Arcul de Triumf.

Romanian Car Workers Demonstrate for New Highway

Around 8,000 people, most of them union members at the Dacia car factory in Pitesti, took to the streets of the southern town on Monday to protest about the Romanian government's failure to start work on a new highway in the south. 

The project has been discussed for years, but the government postponed it several times due to disagreements over the best route. 

SAB&Accesorii 2015: Cars directly from Frankfurt, first-time air show, 4,000 sqm of exhibiting area

Seven cars having arrived directly from Frankfurt will be on display for the first time in Romania at the 13th Bucharest Auto Show & Accessories (SAB&Accesorii 2015) to take place over October 1-11 at Romaero Baneasa aerospace company, on a 4,000-square meter area.
