BELGRADE -- Some of the icons pillaged from the 35 Serbian Orthodox churches targeted in Kosovo in March 2004 have been sold in the black market.

The violence in Kosovo, known in Serbia as "the March pogrom," was organized by ethnic Albanians and targeted Serbs, their property, and holy places.

Genocide resolution tabled by people with guilty conscience

BELGRADE - Director of the Serbian government's Office for Kosovo-Metohija (KiM) Marko Djuric said on Sunday that a draft resolution on the genocide that Serbia had allegedly committed against ethnic Albanians in Kosovo was proposed by the people with a guilty conscience because of their own role in the 1998-99 armed conflict.

Djuric wishes Happy Easter to believers

BELGRADE - Director of the Serbian government's Office for Kosovo-Metohija (KiM) Marko Djuric wished a Happy Easter to Archbishop of Belgrade Stanislav Hocevar and Roman Catholic believers on Saturday.

Djuric also extended special greetings for the biggest Christian holiday to Catholic believers in Kosovo-Metohija who celebrate Easter on Sunday, according to the Gregorian calendar.

Draft resolution on "genocide" in Kosovo assembly

PRISTINA, BELGRADE -- A draft resolution "on the genocide of Serbs committed against Albanians" during the 1999 war in Kosovo has been submitted to the Kosovo assembly.

According to officials in Belgrade, the resolution represents "a message to Serb deputies not to return to the Kosovo assembly."
