British passenger commits suicide after missing flight in Istanbul
A British passenger traveling from London to Arbil has committed suicide in Istanbul Atatürk Airport after missing her connecting flight.
The 50-year-old British woman, identified as Jacqueline Anne Sutton, arrived in Istanbul at 9:58 p.m. on Oct. 17 with Turkish Airlines flight number 1986.

Turkey shots down drone on Syria borders
Turkey’s military said it shot down an unmanned aircraft on the Syrian border on Friday.
The nationality of the craft is unknown. It had violated Turkish airspace before it was warned and then shot down, the military said.

SunExpress carries 3.6 million passengers in first half of 2015
SunExpress, a joint venture of Turkish Airlines and Lufthansa, completed the first half of 2015 with an 18 percent increase in passengers, compared to the same period in 2014, it said in a press release.
Turkey to make payments to bomb victims' families
Turkey announced on Oct. 15 that the beneficiaries of the people who lost their lives in the Ankara bombings will be eligible for a monthly payment of 820 Turkish liras ($283).
According to the Labor and Social Security Ministry, citizens hurt in the attack will also receive a monthly payment according to their disabilities ranging from between 497 to 820 liras ($171 to $283).
