Azerbaijan–Iran relations

Azerbaijan is suspending work in its embassy in Iran, days after a gunman stormed the embassy and killed a security guard, AFP reported.

Iran said Friday's attack was motivated by personal reasons, but Baku described it as an act of terrorism.

Top Turkish and U.S. officials on May 29 discussed bilateral relations and regional issues in Istanbul.

BELGRADE - President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev met on Thursday with Serbian Parliament Speaker Maja Gojkovic and said that the relations between Serbia and Azerbaijan are developing quickly, having reached a significant level in a rather short time, stressing that the prospects of investing in Serbian economy are interesting for Azerbaijan.
