Turkey's MHP calls Russia's tit-for-tat a 'scandal,' stresses support for ruling AKP

Strongly defending the legitimacy of Turkey's downing of a Russian warplane by Turkish jets along the Syrian border last week, Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) leader Devlet Bahçeli has labeled Moscow's retaliatory moves against Turkey a "scandal."

Turkey's MHP backs AKP amid tensions with Russia

Turkey's Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) will not let the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) stand alone on the issue of sovereignty and border rights, MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli said in a Nov. 26 statement over increased tensions with Russia.

"Turkey should defend to the end its kin, borders and rights to immunity that it derives from statehood," Bahçeli said.

Bahçeli: AKP's promises for 'stability, serenity' already failed

Turkey's ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) has failed to live up to its promises to bring "stability and serenity" to the country, the nationalist opposition leader said, while also offering condolences to Paris following the Nov. 13 jihadist attack on the French capital.

Open letter to Devlet Bahçeli

Dear Devlet Bahçeli,

You have said that if you had agreed to the Greater Middle East Project, if you had not voiced any concern to the global blockade, you would have been made a king now.

You also said if you had shut your eyes to corruption and winked at treason, you would have been praised. You said if you had supported disintegration, you would have been the winner.

Why the MHP will not be able to proceed with Bahçeli anymore

There are at least 110 reasons for this, but I will only list 10.

First, before anything else politics is a business of socialization, mingling and contact. Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) head Devlet Bahçeli is a very asocial person who puts extreme distance between himself and other people, with absolutely no contact.

MHP leader pledges to bring public broadcaster to book for one-sided election coverage

Turkey's people have been subjected to the one-sided propaganda of both President Recep Tayyip Erdo?an and Prime Minister Ahmet Davuto?lu in the run-up to the Nov. 1 elections, Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) leader Devlet Bahçeli said Oct. 27 in the northern province of Amasya.

Don't leave me in the hands of Bahçeli, K?l?çdaro?lu: Turkish PM

Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davuto?lu has asked his supporters to bring his ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) to single party rule again in Nov. 1 general elections, asking them "not to make me obliged" to meet opposition leader Devlet Bahçeli and Kemal K?l?çdaro?lu for coalition talks.

A fifth party in parliament: Joke or prophesy?

Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) leader Devlet Bahçeli has said a "fifth party" could be formed in parliament after the Nov. 1 election. So there has finally been a bit of activity in the election campaign.

Thank God, now we have a hot topic to talk about. Did Bahçeli receive a tip-off and come up with this? Or did he make up an "imaginary scenario" in order to stir things up?

MHP leader warns of 'chaos' under single-party AKP rule after Nov. 1

Turkey?s nationalist opposition leader has given a stark warning a week before the Nov. 1 snap elections, suggesting the rise of the Justice and Development Party (AKP) to power as a single-party government might lead to ?chaos,? as it would encourage President Recep Tayyip Erdo?an to impose his aspirations for a presidential system.
