MHP leader joins criticisms against CHP lawmaker’s comment on Turkish army

Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) leader Devlet Bahçeli has criticized a main opposition party lawmaker for his comments on the Turkish army and has asked for an explanation for the same.

"The [Republican People's Party] CHP deputy's comment that the Turkish army is 'sold' is a dishonor that should be asked account for," he said, addressing the MHP lawmakers at the parliament.

MHP leader welcomes dismissal of opposition MPs from the parliament 

The dismissal of three opposition lawmakers is "is an obligatory requirement of the justice and democracy ethics," leader of the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) Devlet Bahçeli said on June 8. 

"Everyone is equal before the law. Nobody has the privilege or freedom to commit a crime," Bahçeli said in a written statement. 

MHP leader criticizes Russia over its position against Turkey in Idlib

Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) leader Devlet Bahçeli has once again criticized Russia for its Syria policies and said the Russian position backing the regime against Turkey was "shocking."

Speaking to MHP lawmakers in parliament, the MHP leader accused Putin of "playing a double game."

Russia's attitude is "inexplicable even with strategic accounts," Bahçeli said.

MHP slams establishment of new political parties

The Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) leader Devlet Bahçeli on Dec. 17 slammed the search for establishing new political parties in Turkey, dubbing the moves as a "conspiration."

In a written statement, Bahçeli said "the complicated and dirty actions" of those who want to "sabotage" the politics have accelerated and have become widespread recently.
