Bulgaria Is On 3rd Place Selling New Cars in EU

Bulgaria is on third place in sales growth of new cars in the European Union (EU) in the first four months of 2017, shows the statistic of the European Car Producers Association (ACEA) in Europe, reported Dnevnik.

From January to April in the country are bought 9086 new cars, or exactly 20% more compared to the same period in 2016.

This commented the Bulgarian Vice President Iliyana Yotova at the opening of a documentary exhibit devoted to 100 years of Bosilegrad's burning, reported FOCUS News Agency.

Serbia looks to clinch deals worth EUR 3.2 bln with China

A Serbian delegation that will travel to China will sign several agreements, including on the Preljina-Pozega and Pozega-Boljare sections of Corridor 11.

Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic previously said he was considering granting a concession for this part of the future highway to Montenegro to the Chinese, adding, however, that he would be "very sad to do that."

The solution for overcoming conflicts and living in peace in the Balkans is to work on interdependence, for states to rely on each other.

This has been stated by Deputy Head of the EU Delegation to Serbia Oskar Benedikt, who added that under such a scenario, it is much harder to turn against each other, which applies particularly to Serbia and Albania.

Bulgaria Places First at Balkan Mathematical Olympiad

Bulgarian students won four gold medals and two silver ones at the 34th Balkan Mathematical Olympiad, which has taken place in Ohrid, Macedonia, BNR reported.

In the team rankings, Bulgaria won the first place with 226 points from a maximum of 240 possible.

The Bulgarian tem was followed by the team of Serbia (208 points) and Romania (182 points).

Serbia's Military confiscated large amount of weapons en route to FYROM

Military Security Agency (VBA) of Serbia confiscated a large quantity of weapons in southern Serbia, which was supposed to be illegally transported to FYROM (Macedonia). It is assumed that it was for the party infrastructure of the largest Albanian parties whose officials participated in armed conflicts in Macedonia, writes Serbian daily "Blic", referring to the sources from VBA.
