ZVEČAN -- Head of EULEX Bernd Borchardt has said that the EU mission in Kosovo, EULEX, "is not a political, but a rule of law mission."

The official added that he can guarantee an impartial approach in EULEX's implementation of that rule of law, adding that EULEX has no interest in taking sides, Tanjug reported.

Kosovo Power Plant Explosion Leaves 3 Dead - Report

An explosion at a coal-fired power plant near Kosovo's capital Pristina has left 3 people dead, according to media reports.

The blast took place at Kosovo's second largest power plant, some 10km away from the capital, the BBC reported.

Video images showed thick smoke rising from the site and ambulances rushing to the scene. According to unconfirmed reports, 3 people have died.

RUDINICA -- The remains of 37 people have so far been exhumed from the Rudnica quarry, southern Serbia, Tanjug is reporting.

The news agency is quoting the head of the Commission for Missing Persons, Veljko Odalović, who made the statement as he was visiting the location.

Montenegrin Customs Seize Major Cocaine Haul

Montenegrin authorities on Thursday said custom officials in the Adriatic port of Bar on Wednesday seized 250 kilograms of cocaine shipped from Ecuador, Latin America.

The ship was carrying containers from Ecuador to Montenegro’s neighbour, Albania. The cocaine haul was described as the biggest drugs bust in the history of Montenegro.

PRIŠTINA -- Member of the Kosovo Election Commission Nenad Rikalo says this body decided to allow the use of all valid documents for the voting on Sunday.

It means the voters will be able to use Serbian identification documents if they are on the electoral roll in order to cast their vote, he said.
