A hot spring pond in the Marmara province of Bursa's İnegöl district has become a popular destination for locals seeking relief from skin ailments.

Discovered during a mineral water excavation, the pond's consistently hot water of 55 degrees Celcius draws visitors from nearby areas.

Bulgaria's Black Sea complex Albena was named the most innovative spa destination at the 24th European Spas Association Congress held in Croatia. The Secretary-General of the European Spas Association Csilla Mezosi bestowed on the prize to the Bulgarian tourist complex.

Each of the municipalities will receive 15,000 euros, reported NOVA TV. 

Free high-speed internet connection will be build on the territory of 113 Bulgarian municipalities. They will receive € 15,000 within the WiFi4EU campaign.

Tourism Minister Nikolina Angelkova will open the biggest tourist event in Bulgaria - the international exhibition "Vacation and SPA Expo", Econ.bg writes. 

During the three days of the exhibition 380 companies from 25 countries participated with representative stands.

13 municipalities are in a difficult financial condition, according to data from the Ministry of Finance at the end of 2017. These are only 4.9% of all municipalities in the country, as there is a tendency for better money management.

Bulgaria offers many destinations suitable for health tourism.

In most resorts nowadays procedures are offered to improve the overall well being of the body, but still there are countries whose natural resources give them an advantage in the industry and Bulgaria is one of them.

Greek painter Angela Petrova takes viewers on a journey to the Greek islands with her new exhibition, "Greekblue," on display in Amorgos. The artist's work is inspired by Mediterranean scenes, ranging from skyscapes to nature and sea stills, as well as the everyday activities of people living on the islands.

Banja (Spa) Koviljaca, located in western Serbia, has been a health resort since the Illyrian era.

The first written mention from 1533 indicates that people went there in great numbers to benefit from its springs.

İzmir's therapeutic hot springs in the Balçova district, Agamemnon, named after the famous Trojan warrior and the King of Mycenae in Greek mythology, has been serving as a popular spot for visitors and patients since antiquity. 

Bulgaria and Romania will start offering joint spa holiday packages to tourists from the beginning of next year.

The package, which is part of the EU-funded project "Roman Thermal Spas of Europe", will offer to tourists the opportunity to stay at two spa resorts - one in Bulgaria and one in Romania.
