Greek central banker succeeds Liikanen on ECB's audit committee
The Governing Council of the European Central Bank has named Greek central bank chief Yannis Stournaras as a member of the council's audit committee, replacing Erkki Liikanen, the Bank of Greece said on Friday.

Greek central bank pledges financial assistance to fire victims
The Bank of Greece announced on Thursday it will donate five million euros to help people affected by the deadly wildfires of 23 and 24 July that killed at least 83 people in Attica and assist in reconstruction efforts.
The central bank said it convened an extraordinary meeting of its general council at the request of its Chairman, BoG Governor Yannis Stournaras.
Deputy takes over the helm at Greece's National Bank
The National Bank of Greece's deputy chief executive, Paul Mylonas, has been appointed its new CEO after Leonidas Frangiadakis resigned in May.
The economist has been the acting CEO at National Bank, Greece's largest lender by assets, since his predecessor's resignation, and deputy CEO since June 2014.
ECB's Nouy meets Stournaras in Athens
The chief of the ECB's Single Supervisory Mechanism (SSM), Daniele Nouy, is in Greece for a two-day visit starting Monday, according to reports.
Nouy is expected to meet with Bank of Greece governor Yannis Stournaras and representatives of the country's lending institutions in the wake of the successful stress tests.
