Bulgarian Sport Minister: Bansko Is Prepared to Host Ski World Cup
Bulgarian Minister of Youth and Sports Krasen Kralev expressed his satisfaction with the preparation and organisation of the forthcoming FIS Alpine Ski World Cup in Bansko.
According, to Kralev the Alpine Ski World Cup is probably the most important event that Bulgaria will be hosting during 2015.

Romanian Skier Dies in Bulgaria's Bansko
A twenty-six year old Romanian skier passed away on Friday after an incident in Bulgaria's ski resort Bansko.
The Bansko rescue service received a signal on the case today at around 11 am.
It appears that the skier has had a dangerous fall on a ski track number 11, connecting the Todorka mountain peak with the Plato valley.

Two Israeli Tourists Saved by Bulgaria's Mountain Rescue Service Near Bansko
An injured Israeli tourist trapped in a ravine in the Pirin Mountain near the ski resort of Bansko has been saved with the help of a medevac helicopter, Nova TV reported on Wednesday.
Amit Buktus, 30, and his wife called for help around 2 pm local time (1200 GMT) after finding themselves stranded in an unaccessible area outside the marked ski runs above Bansko.
Tickets for Bansko Alpine Skiing World Cup Events Now Selling
Tickets for the most anticipated event of the year in Bansko - the Alpine Skiing World Cup scheduled for February 27 to March 1, have already started selling.
The tickets can be found both in the Bansko ticket center next to the cable cars depot and in Sofia's Max Sport store on Bulgaria Blvd 81, Standart news reported.
New Protests Begin Over Bansko Ski Zone
Protests on account of the suspended building of new cable cars in Bansko and the stopped expansion of the Pirin mountain ski zone will take place on Tuesday on the main road E79.
The time is set for 5:30 pm and the location will be the interconnection with the road to Simitli, as reported by the Bulgarian National Radio.

Sports Minister Expects Green Light for Construction of 2nd Gondola Lift in Bansko
Bulgarian Sports Minister Krasen Kralev has said that he expects that the construction of a second gondola lift in the mountain resort of Bansko will be cleared by the working group set up over the matter.
Kralev spoke in favor of the facility at a Wednesday sitting of the parliamentary committee on youth and sports.
Turkish Tourist Suffers Injuries While Skiing in Bulgaria's Bansko
A male Turkish tourist has been taken to hospital in Razlog, in southwestern Bulgaria, after suffering severe injuries while skiing in the nearby resort of Bansko on Saturday.
BGNES news outlet gave the name of the tourist as Alper Boskur, 25.
He suffered broken ribs and had internal bleeding. A helicopter was used to take him from the ski run to Bansko.
Fire at Hotel in Bulgaria's Bansko Ski Resort Extinguished
A hotel in the ski resort of Bansko was on fire on Wednesday morning, with flames raging on its 3rd and 4th floor.
The report was submitted sometime before 07:00 EET (05:00 GMT), according to BGNES news service.
As of 08:50 EET the fire has been put out.
