A Serbian trafficker transporting 10 illegal migrants was captured this morning after trying to escape from a police patrol near Panagyurishte, announced Pazardzhik police spokesman Miroslav Stoyanov.

While trying to be detained, he rammed their patrol car.

Six people were injured in a mass fight in Kazanlak.

One woman has a fractured arm and two men are in critical condition.

One of the wounded has died, BGNES reported in the late afternoon.

They were taken to the emergency center in Kazanlak.

Associations of restaurants and the tourism industry are organizing a national protest today under the motto: "Everyone TOGETHER! For health, work, future, security! "

BANYA, Bulgaria — Like the storks that glide in on their annual pilgrimage from Africa, we try to spend every summer in my wife's home village of Banya in southwestern Bulgaria.

An earthquake with a magnitude of 2.6 on the Richter scale was registered on the territory of Bulgaria, in the Pazardzhik region.

The quake was registered at 3.01 pm tonight with an epicenter 9 km southeast of Dolna Banya, 39 km west of Pazardzhik and 66 km southeast of Sofia, with a depth of 5 km, the European Seismological Center said. No data on material damage.

A special squad of Military Formation 28 610 - Gorna Banya of the Land Forces was activated at 12:30 noon to dispose of ammunition found in the grassland opposite the South Bus Station in Sofia, said the Ministry of Defence. 

,,The repair and restoration of the mineral bath in Bankya will end in one year'', said Yordanka Fandakova, Mayor of Sofia.
