Vrsac overrun by Red Star in Korac Cup quarter-finals

NIS - Red Star Belgrade comprehensively defeated Vrsac 99-47 (30-7, 27-10, 24-15, 18-15) in Nis Thursday to advance to the basketball Korac Cup semi-finals.

In a bid to reach the final of the national cup, head coach Dejan Radonjic's men will face FMP Zeleznik, who beat Spartak Subotica 77-58 earlier in the day.

Zvezda has commanding 2-0 lead vs Mega in ABA finals

BELGRADE - Crvena Zvezda took a commanding 2-0 lead against Mega Leks in the 2015-16 ABA League Play-Off Finals, beating them 93-74 (26-21, 26-18, 20-21, 21-14) in the second game of the series in Belgrade late on Saturday.
    
Top scorer for Zvezda was Marko Simonovic with 16 points, followed by Quincy Miller with 11 and Tarence Kinsey and Branko Lazic with 10 points each.

Partizan fights back to tie ABA League semis series at 1-1

BELGRADE - Partizan defeated Crvena Zvezda 70-68 (22-17 20-18 16-13 12-20) on Wednesday to tie the Adriatic Basketball Association (ABA) League semifinal series at 1-1.

Milan Macvan scored the most points on the winning team, 14, followed by Josh Akoyon with 13, Aleksandar Pavlovic with 11 and Milenko Tepic with 10.

Crvena Zvezda beats Galatasaray in Istanbul

ISTANBUL - Crvena Zvezda defeated Galatasaray 91-68 (21-16 31-19 15-16 24-17) in the 10th round of the top 16 stage of the basketball Euroleague in Istanbul on Thursday.

This was the third victory in Group E for the team coached by Dejan Radonjic, which means they still have a chance of getting through to the quarterfinals.

Partizan, Radnicki through to Champions League Final Six

BELGRADE - Belgrade's Partizan advanced to the final stage of the European Water Polo Champions League tournament after a Preliminary Rounds Day 8 home win against Romania’s Oradea 9-7 (5-1, 2-1, 1-4, 1-1) late on Wednesday.

Clinching its fifth victory in Group B, Partizan is now tight in third place and has secured its spot in the Final Six.

Crvena zvezda defends Korac Cup

BELGRADE - Belgrade's basketball team Crvena zvezda defended the Radivoj Korac Cup with a hard-fought win over their city rival Mega Vizura 81-80 (15-31, 27-11, 19-18, 20-20) in the final game late on Sunday in Belgrade.

This is the seventh national cup trophy for Crvena zvezda, and their first successful cup defense.
