Galatasaray beats Anadolu Efes in Turkish Basketball Süper Lig

Galatasaray defeated Anadolu Efes 92-85 in the Turkish Basketball Süper Lig round 5 game on Oct. 23.

The latest champions, Anadolu Efes, finished the first half leading 51-45 against the Lions at Sinan Erdem Dome in Istanbul.

But the Yellow Reds' players did not give up and stayed persistent till the end.

Turkish basketball team dismayed over playmaker Larkin's injury

Turkish basketball star Shane Larkin was removed from the national team squad for a shocking waist injury on June 23. 

In a statement, the Turkish Basketball Federation (TBF) said that Larkin, 28, was diagnosed with a relapsed herniated disc injury in the team's training camp when the Anadolu Efes playmaker point guard underwent medical examinations.

Fenerbahçe beat city rivals Galatasaray 87-73

Fenerbahçe Beko defeated Galatasaray 87-73 in the Istanbul derby for the 12th win of the season in the ING Basketball Super Lig on Jan. 2.

Marko Guduric finished with 18 points while Jan Vesely and Dyshawn Pierre each scored 15 points for the away side in the Week 15 game at the Sinan Erdem.

For the home team, Brock Motum and R. J. Hunter each played with 15 points.

Anadolu Efes upset Fenerbahçe in Istanbul derby

French forward Adrien Moerman carried Anadolu Efes to an 85-72 victory on Dec. 26's ING Basketball Super League.

Moerman was on fire in the week 14 opener at Istanbul's Sinan Erdem, producing 25 points and 15 rebounds.

Croatian guard Krunoslav Simon scored 15 points, five rebounds, and six assists, while U.S.-born Turkish guard Shane Larkin came off the bench to add 14 points

Anadolu Efes defeated TOFAS 83-72 on Dec. 23 at away in the ING Basketball Süper Lig.

Playing at the TOFAŞ Sports Dome, Anadolu Efes shooting guard Krunoslav Simon dominated the game with 24 points, becoming its highest scorer.

Turkish center Sertaç Şanlı and American power forward Chris Singleton played with 10 points each.
