Aris poses no problems to Olympiakos

Olympiakos emerged victorious from its challenge at Aris in Thessaloniki on Monday and remained tied at the top of the Basket League table with AEK, victor of Rethymo at home on Saturday.

Captain Vassilis Spanoulis distributed 11 assists and Olympiakos returned with a 70-63 triumph from one of its most difficult games on the road this season in the league.

Reds and Greens go down in the Euroleague

After a week of four Greek triumphs in the Euroleague, this week both Olympiakos and Panathinaikos suffered their second loss in five games, although both could have escaped this fate.

Olympiakos lost 81-75 to CSKA Moscow in Piraeus on Thursday, but felt that its second-half comeback could have turned things around altogether against the competition's unbeaten team.

Besiktas hand Partizan first defeat of season

ISTANBUL - Partizan Belgrade have suffered their first defeat of the season after losing to Besiktas Istanbul 77-62 (21-16, 14-15, 25-14, 17-17) on the road in a Group E, Round 2 game of the FIBA Basketball Champions League late Wednesday.

Michael Roll led the scoring for the Turkish team with 16 points and Serbia national team member Vladimir Stimac added 12 points and 9 rebounds.

Udoh, Vesely lead Fenerbahçe to third Eurolegue victory

Istanbul club Fenerbahçe remained undefeated in the Turkish Airlines Euroleague and joined CSKA Moscow atop the standings by downing Zalgiris Kaunas 82-68 at home on Oct. 26. 

Ekpe Udoh and Jan Vesely led the winning side with 14 points apiece. Udoh added eight rebounds while Vesely made eight of eight free throws.
