Coronavirus infections up during the week of August 14-20

New cases of SARS-CoV-2 over the week of August 14-20 were up compared to the previous week, according to the weekly report by the National Public Health Organisation (EODY), published on Thursday.

Hospital admissions for coronavirus (641) increased last week and also went up 54% overall compared to the average weekly for admissions during the last four weeks.

One of the causalities was registered in a patient infected abroad and reported to the Calarasi Public Health Directorate (DSP).

The Strategic Communication Group (GCS) informs that in the last 24 hours, 130 deaths have been registered in patients infected with the SARS-CoV-2 virus. One of the deaths occurred in a patient infected abroad and reported at the Satu Mare Public Health Directorate. According to GCS, there are 55 men and 75 women.
