Ottoman bath revived after years of restoration
Zeyrek Çinili Hammam, one of the masterpieces of Mimar Sinan in Istanbul's Fatih neighborhood, is returning to its original function after a comprehensive 13-year restoration process.
The hammam, with its cultural heritage brought back to life by The Marmara Group, will open its doors to its visitors on May 3 to offer a bathing experience in a historical structure.

Inspired by the "Towel Movement" in Greece, which aims to protest paid services on public beaches, activists in the Turkish Aegean holiday spot of Çeşme have thrown their towels on the shores of private beaches to demand full access.

Health Authorities took Samples from 92 Spots along the Bulgarian Black Sea coast
The sea water along the Bulgarian Black Sea is safe for bathing and there is currently no evidence of impending pollution. This was stated by the chief state health inspector Assoc. Angel Kunchev in connection with concerns about sea water pollution after the spilling of the waters from the "Nova Kakhovka" dam into the Black Sea, BNT reported.
Cold water swimmers converge on Bled
Some 1,000 swimmers from all over the world have gathered at the lakeside town of Bled to take part in the 13th Winter Swimming World Championships this week. The oldest among them is about to turn 88.
The participants come from 31 countries, most of them from Finland, the UK, Germany and Denmark, but there are also swimmers from Argentina, Mongolia and Morocco.

244-year-old hammam in Istanbul up for sale for $2.6 mln
Located in Istanbul's Üsküdar district, the 244-year-old Beylerbeyi Hammam, built by Ottoman Sultan Abdülhamid I in 1778, has been put up for sale by its shareholders for 48 million Turkish Liras (nearly $2.6 million).
Ancient bath with mosaic restored
A Roman Bath, which was built in the fifth century A.D. and used for 200 years, has been restored in the ancient port city Anemurium, located on a 600-hectare area in the southern province of Mersin. While the cleaning and restoration works of the floor mosaic in the dressing room of the bath continue, this year the bath started to host visitors.
