Vucic proposes holding next Belt and Road forum in Serbia

BEIJING - Serbian PM and President-elect Aleksandar Vucic proposed in Beijing on Monday that the next forum of China's Belt and Road Initiative be held in Serbia.

We have already done much regarding bilateral cooperation with our Chinese friends, Vucic said in his address at the Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation.

Dust storm blows across north China

A major dust storm engulfed northern China and Beijing on May 4, prompting authorities to cancel dozens of flights and urge children and the elderly to stay indoors. Buildings were shrouded by the greyish haze in the capital while residents who ventured out covered their mouths and noses with masks and bandanas.

Smog in northern China shuts roads, causes canceled flights

Heavy smog in northern China yesterday caused hundreds of flights to be cancelled and highways to shut, disrupting the first day of the new year holiday. 

Large parts of the north were hit by hazardous smog in mid-December, leading authorities to order hundreds of factories to close and to restrict motorists to cut emissions.
