Kosovo and Serbia have taken the first steps towards implementation of their verbal deal to normalize relations reached in March in Ohrid, North Macedonia, by establishing a Joint Monitoring Committee to oversee the implementation as well as an initial endorsement of a declaration on missing persons .

He said that the EU has formed a Joint Monitoring Committee to monitor the implementation of the Agreement on the Normalization of Relations between the so-called of Kosovo and Serbia and Annex for implementation.

RASKA - After a discussion with Kosovo Serb representatives in Raska, central Serbia, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic presented a set of five conclusions regarding the position of Serbs in Kosovo-Metohija.

NOVI PAZAR - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on Friday he would continue to fight for Kosovo-Metohija Serbs through constant calls for peace and dialogue.

Vucic was speaking to reporters during a visit to Novi Pazar, southwestern Serbia.

It is high time that both countries' leaderships lay their political disagreements aside and cooperate in this humanitarian issue, independent from their performance on other parts of the agreement - before it is too late.

BELGRADE  - Greek FM Nikos Dendias said on Wednesday he had congratulated Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic on a recent Belgrade-Pristina agreement in Ohrid, confirming Greece's firm support to EU-facilitated efforts for further progress of dialogue.

Vucic and Dendias met in Belgrade.

Kosovo's Prime Minister Albin Kurti complained on Tuesday that Belgrade is trying to avoid commitments that Serbia President Aleksandar Vucic made when the two countries verbally agreed on a normalisation plan and its implementation at the weekend.

In Skopje, after a meeting with Macedonian President Stevo Pendarovski, he thanked North Macedonia for its support in the normalization of relations between Belgrade and Pristina and expressed the hope that "the beautiful landscape of Ohrid will create the beautiful atmosphere needed to reach an agreement".

Kosovo's Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, and Serbia's President, Aleksandar Vucic, are due to meet on Saturday in Ohrid, North Macedonia, to discuss the implementation of a deal they agreed last month on normalization of relations under European Union mediation.

Washington also said that it wants a quick finalization of "mutual recognition" between Belgrade and Pristina, noting that it is not possible to determine a specific time frame for that.
