World Bank: Serbia's 2023 GDP growth to be around 2 pct
BELGRADE - In its latest forecast, the World Bank said Serbia's 2023 GDP growth would be around 2 pct despite an anticipated acceleration of economic activity in the second half of the year.
Brnabic meets with new Finnish ambassador
BELGRADE - Serbian PM Ana Brnabic met with new Finnish Ambassador to Belgrade Niklas Lindqvist on Friday.

Vucic receives Chinese ambassador

Vucic to meet with NATO's Munsch in Belgrade Wednesday
BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic will meet with the commander of the NATO Joint Force Command in Naples, Adm Stuart Munsch, in Belgrade on Wednesday.
The meeting in the building of the General Secretariat of the President of the Republic is scheduled for 9 am, the presidential press office said in a statement.
Tourist visits in Serbia up by 4.3 pct y-o-y in August
BELGRADE - Serbia registered 4.3 pct more tourist visits in August 2023 relative to the same month of last year and the number of overnight stays was down by 6.2 pct, according to figures released by the national statistical office.
Overnight stays generated by Serbian tourists were down by 13.9 pct y-o-y, while those generated by foreign tourists were up by 9.1 pct y-o-y.
EBRD approves 25 mln euro loan to Srbija Voz for railway depots
BELGRADE - Serbia will further upgrade its railway infrastructure thanks to a 25 mln euro loan from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).
"Srbija Voz, Serbia's national rail passenger operator, will use the loan to build a new regional depot in Nis and rehabilitate two existing ones in Zemun and Sombor," the EBRD said in a statement.

BELGRADE - The Partner 2023 international arms fair opened in Belgrade on Monday, featuring 154 exhibitors from around the world.
"I believe that, in the days to come, we will be able to announce major contracts for our country and Serbia's defence industry," Defence Minister Milos Vucevic said at the opening of the fair.
