Constitutive session of Belgrade city assembly postponed again until March 3

BELGRADE - The constitutive session of the new Belgrade city assembly was on Friday again postponed until Sunday, March 3 due to a lack of quorum.

The postponement was announced by the chairman of the constitutive session. Socialist Toma Fila, the oldest assembly member.

Djedovic Handanovic meets with French ambassador

BELGRADE - Serbian Minister of Mining and Energy Dubravka Djedovic Handanovic met with French Ambassador to Belgrade Pierre Cochard on Tuesday to discuss key issues for bilateral cooperation in the energy sector, including modernisation of the power transmission grid, potential cooperation in the hydropower sector and diversification of natural gas supply sources.

Serbian industrial turnover down by 1.0 pct y-o-y in December

BELGRADE - Serbia's December 2023 industrial turnover was down by 1.0 pct relative to the same month of the previous year, according to figures released by the national statistical office.

Relative to the 2022 average, it was up by 7.3 pct.

By sectors, the mining sector registered a 1.0 pct turnover decline y-o-y, while the manufacturing industry turnover fell by 1.0 pct.
