Cochard: Serbia increasingly attractive to French companies

BELGRADE - Serbian Minister of Economy Slobodan Cvetkovic met on Thursday with French Ambassador to Belgrade Pierre Cochard, who said Serbia was becoming increasingly attractive to companies from France and that bilateral trade between the two countries was up by 34 pct y-o-y, tripling since 2010.

The parties discussed bilateral political and economic cooperation.

Air Serbia expects revenues of over 500 mln euros in 2023

BELGRADE - Air Serbia expects its revenues to exceed 500 mln euros in 2023, for the first time since it started operating under its present name, says the airline's CEO Jiri Marek.

Marek also expects the company to register record-high net profit by the end of the year, the Ex-Yu Aviation News internet portal reported.

Belgrade region biggest contributor to Serbia's GDP in 2022

BELGRADE - In 2022, the Belgrade region was the biggest contributor to Serbia's GDP with a 40 pct share and the northern Vojvodina province followed with 26.4 pct.

According to preliminary figures released by the national statistical office, the Sumadija and Western Serbia region is in third place with 18.4 pct and the Southern and Eastern Serbia region follows with 15.2 pct.
