Bulgaria’s Interior Minister: We can Join Schengen with a Caretaker or Regular Government
"The Bulgarian services had operational information about the ambulance captured with 23 migrants in the Plovdiv village of Trud, there is still no information on what charges will be brought against the migrant traffickers". This was stated in Belitsa by the Minister of Internal Affairs, Ivan Demerdzhiev, who participated in a festive service in the renovated church "St. George".
The Extinguishing of Fires all over Bulgaria Continues - “Maritsa” Highway will be Closed
The state of emergency in Haskovsko remains in force due to the two fires in the territories of Harmanli and Lyubimets municipalities.
They have not yet been located due to the strong wind. A bulldozer was also called from the coal mining company "Mini Maritsa-Iztok", which is already working in the field. This is what regional governor Minko Angelov said for BNR.
Incident: Bear Attacked a Woman in Park Belitsa
A woman was injured after being attacked by a bear. The incident happened near the park for dancing bears in Belitsa, confirmed to NOVA by the park management.
The woman went out to pick mushrooms when she was attacked by a wild animal. The wounded woman was taken to the hospital in Razlog.

Second Large Wild Fire in Rila Mountains
Another big wild fire broke out in Bulgaria's Rila Mountains. The fire started in a pine forest around 2:30 pm on October 28 above the village of Gorno Kraishte in Belitsa municipality. Dense black smoke rises above the forest, and large flames can be seen. Several firefighting teams are on site, BNT reported.

Three Bears Released in Central Balkan Park
Three brown bears were released in Central Balkan Park at a joint action of the eco-ministry and Four Paws Foundation.
The bears had a period of rehabilitation and survival training but they still have to be watched how they will adapt to nature. A similar action to rescue the bears and then return them to nature is done for the first time in Bulgaria.

Train Traffic Suspended in Blagoevgrad Area due to Rockslide and Train Accident
Since 6.12 am, train traffic between the stations of Yakoruda and Belitsa has been suspended after earth-rock mass fell on the railway tracks and then a passenger train, Septemvri-Dobrinishte, hit into it, the National Railway Infrastructure Company said. After the crash the locomotive was derailed with the first carriage.

Dospat Rescued Bears will be Sent to Greece for Readaptation (Video)
The three small bears who were found without a mother and rescued near Dospat dam will go to Greece for readaptation and then be returned to Bulgarian nature, the Ministry of Environment and Water announced on Tuesday. The agency has given permission for the departure of the animals to the Greek center Arcturus.

With the coming winter most of the inhabitants of the Dancing Bears Park near Belitsa begin hibernating. It is typical for bears to slow down during the winter. Today is the last business day. From tomorrow - 1 December - until 1 April 2018, the park will be closed for visitors.

Dancing Bears Park Belitsa, a sanctuary in south-west Bulgaria for the rehabilitation of mistreated bears, has announced that its first Albanian resident arrived successfully from Tirana on May 4.
