MİT ‘neutralizes’ senior PKK member in Iraq
The National Intelligence Organization (MİT) has neutralized a local leader of the PKK in an operation in Iraq's Duhok governorate.
Eyvaz Beyaz, code-named Zerdeşt Karadeniz, was wanted by Interpol with a red notice and was in the gray category of the Defense Ministry's wanted list.

Turkey’s media watchdog fines TV channel after pundit’s lewd remarks on Bosnians
The Radio and Television Supreme Council (RTÜK) ruled on Nov. 24 to impose a penalty against private broadcaster Beyaz TV after Turkish pundit Rasim Ozan Kütahyalı made sexually explicit comments targeting Bosnians during a live sports show.

The latest high in Turkey's political madness
Yesterday a suicide bomber hit Istanbul's Sultanahmet Square, killing at least ten people, mostly international tourists. Soon, the president declared that the perpetrator is "a suicide bomber of Syrian origin." This seemed to confirm the initial suspicion, of mine and many other observers, that this was probably an attack by the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL).

Should the TV host be happy women and children are dying?
During the "Beyaz Show" on Kanal D, a woman claiming to be a teacher called in and said: "Are you aware of what is going on in the east, in the southeast of Turkey?" (Applause from the audience) "Here, unborn children, mothers and people are being killed. There are pathetic people who rejoice at children dying.
Terror probe launched over TV caller's comments
Turkish prosecutors on Jan. 11 opened a criminal investigation into the host and the producer of a popular television talk show on charges of "terrorist propaganda" after a caller talked about the civilian casualties during the security operations against the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) militants in the southeastern part of the country.
