From BGN 30,000 to BGN 100,000 grants under the new scheme of the Operational Program "Innovation and Competitiveness" will be received by medium-sized enterprises affected by the quarantine. 

This is clear from the documents published for public discussion to the procedure "Support for medium-sized enterprises to overcome the economic consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic". 

What legislative changes were introduced?

Although today is the last day of the state of emergency declared on 13 March, some of the measures taken to limit the spread of the coronavirus remain in force after its end.   The requirement to keep social distance and to wear protective equipment in public transport and indoors remains in force. In case of non-compliance with these measures, the fine is from BGN 300 to BGN 1,000.

There will be fines if the measures are violated. The sanctions remain in the same amount - from BGN 300 to BGN 1,000 for the first violation and from BGN 1,000 to BGN 2,000 for the second.

The Council of Ministers has allocated BGN 860 568 to international organizations with a leading role in the fight against COVID-19. These include the International Committee of the Red Cross, the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, UNICEF and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.

"Thanks for everything you do! And beware, because you are precious to us! We rely on you a lot because medicine and science have to guide us in what we do against the coronavirus. " With these words, Prime Minister Boyko Borissov addressed the doctors, nurses and volunteers during his visit to Pirogov, where he inspected repaired clinics.

The European Commission has approved a €150 million (approx. BGN 294 million) Bulgarian scheme to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the context of the coronavirus outbreak. The scheme was approved under the State aid Temporary Framework adopted by the Commission on 19 March 2020, as amended on 3 April 2020.

Last year, 1,378 contracts were signed and BGN 844,340,088 were paid under the Rural Development Programme (RDP) 2014-2020, according to the Annual Report of the Agriculture State Fund and the Paying Agency for 2019 approved by the Council of Ministers, said the government press office, quoted by Focus News Agency.
