Pablo Mandado and Ilze Zebolde, a Spanish couple, left London on a quest to explore the world on bicycles. 7,000 miles later, they have traveled 16 countries on a very tight budget of just 3 euros per day. They document exactly how they managed to do so on their website.

Iohannis: I am with the bicyclists, urging more people to ride bicycles
President Klaus Iohannis on Saturday urged as many people as possible to ride bicycles, showing that moving by means of a bicycle cuts road traffic and implicitly pollution.

A long bicycle ride through beautiful countryside!
The largest Train-Bicycle Ride in Greece kicks off at 6 p.m. on Sunday at Thessaloniki Railway. Participants will load their bikes onto the train and head to Methoriako Station (Vyroneia Serron) for a ride to Kerkini Lake.
The event is aimed at promoting cycling as an alternative form of travel. Cost of participation is at 10 euros.

Bulgarians Walk Most in EU ? Eurobarometer
A quarter of Bulgarians point to walking as being their most frequent mode of transport, the latest Eurobarometer survey on quality of transport shows.
Although cars were the most mentioned mode of transport in each member state, Bulgaria and Spain have the highest share of people who walk on a typical day ? 25 %.

International Bicycle Festival Kicks Off in Belgrade
The Velograd Bicycle Festival will be held for the second time in the Savamala neighbourhood in Belgrade.
During the two-day festival, visitors will have the chance to see bicycle fashion show, acrobats and a polo game on bikes, while the main event is the so-called Orange Bike Ride.
Urban cycling promotion on Saturday
BELGRADE - A bicycle festival entitled Beograd Velograd will be held in Belgrade on June 14 with the goal of promoting urban cycling, that is cycling as a mode of transportation in the Serbian capital.
The ride will start at Trg Republike at 4 p.m. and finish at Savamala, the organisers told a news conference.

Campaigning to make Athens a bicycle-friendly city
On Sunday, May 11, Athenian cyclists rode through the capital's center calling for a city that will make space for every bike and pedestrian while reducing the space given over to cars. The campaign was part of an ongoing nationwide effort that this year included at least 40 Greek cities.

Sofia To Have 100 km New Bike Paths
Bulgaria's capital Sofia will have 100 km of new bike paths by the end of 2015.
Thus the city will have a total of 140 km of bike paths.
The new facilities will be built along the renovated main boulevards, as a part of the city hall's policy to encourage bicycle transport.
