Motor Oil acquires Elin Verd

Motor Oil Group announced the acquisition of all the shares of the "ELIN VERD" company. VERD was founded in 2005 and is engaged in the production and marketing of biofuels. The company has a biodiesel production plant in Volos with a production capacity of 80,000 tons of biodiesel per year.

Incentives for biomethane production

Biomethane, after photovoltaics, is emerging as the next field of activity for citizens in renewable energy sources. A bill promoted by the Ministry of Environment and Energy establishes incentives for the production and use of biomethane that can be distributed through the existing natural gas network and used by consumers.

Mytilineos: Investment in «green» fuels

RDF Cogeneration Plant in Sofia will be Funded with BGN 180 Million

The government gave consent for the managing authority of operational programme Environment 2014-2020 to sign a contract with Sofia Municipality in partnership with Toplofikatsia Sofia for the construction of a cogeneration plant that will use refuse derived fuel (RDF), the government press office said, reports Focus News Agency. 

WCYCLE, waste treatment in the circular economy for the City of Maribor

The Center for the preparation of secondary raw materials (the Center) is the most modern sorting plant in this part of Europe and the only one in the region providing purely real recycling. Construction began at the end of August 2017 and the machines were tested for the first time in the middle of May 2018. The Center will be fully operational by the end of June this year.

Environment Ministry recommends restricted fireplace use

The Environment Ministry is calling on people around the country not to use fireplaces or solid fuel and biomass stoves on Friday due to the likelihood of high levels of hazardous air pollution forming.

The ministry said that conditions of no winds and thermal inversion are conducive to airborne particulate matter pollution.
