Romania's National COVID-19 Vaccination Coordination Committee (CNCAV) has reported that in the last 24 hours, 40,812 doses of vaccine were administered nationwide, of which 36,763 doses of the Pfizer vaccine and 4,049 doses of the Moderna vaccine, according to data provided on Tuesday by the National Public Health Institute (INSP) on the National Electronic Register of Vaccinations application

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen has admitted the EU was late to authorise Covid-19 vaccines and "we're still not where we want to be".

She also acknowledged the EU had been overconfident about production targets being met amid delays at factories.

Mrs von der Leyen has come under fire for the EU's slow vaccine rollout.

Bulgaria will order over 3 million additional doses of RNA vaccines. This was announced by Minister of Health Kostadin Angelov in the framework of today's government meeting. To this end, the government allocates extra BGN 9 million.

As of February 9, Romania received 1,236,449 doses of Pfizer, Moderna and Astra Zeneca COVID-19 vaccine, of which 981,610 were distributed, Chairman of the National COVID-19 Vaccination Coordination Committee (CNCAV) Valeriu Gheorghita said on Tuesday. The European Union has finalized a deal with Pfizer and BioNTech for the supply of an additional 300 million doses of their Covid-19 vaccine, a European Commission spokesman told Reuters on Monday.

The EU secured 300 million Pfizer doses in November last year and announced a preliminary deal for 300 million more shots on Jan. 8, subject to talks about the terms of the new contract.

In the last 24 hours, 7.510 samples were tested, and a total of 2.693.265 since the outbreak of the epidemic.
Currently, 3.877 people are hospitalized, and there are 135 patients on the respirator.
So far, 4.126 people have died in Serbia, death rate amounting to 1.01 percent.
