Blood donation actions, organized by Romanian Patriarchate and MApN on World Blood Donor Day

The Blood Transfusion Center "Colonel Professor dr. Nicolae Nestorescu'', located inside the Central Military Emergency Hospital Dr.Carol Davila, is hosting on Monday, in partnership with the Romanian Patriarchate, a blood donation activity to mark World Blood Donor Day.

Bulgaria: Blood Plasma Costs BGN 5,000 on Black Market

Pandemic has changed the illegal market and blood brokers are already selling plasma, said to be an effective remedy for Covid-19. Its price may reach BGN 5,000.

Over 1,000 expecting plasma to fight virus

Over 1,000 coronavirus patients in Turkey are hoping to benefit from possibly life-saving immune plasma treatment from the Turkish Red Crescent (Kızılay), the group's head said on April 27. 

In a video press conference, Dr. Kerem Kınık said 567 people across Turkey have donated immune plasma, while 1,066 people are hoping for the plasma treatment.

Good response for COVID-19 plasma treatment: Red Crescent head

Patients in Turkey receiving convalescent plasma therapy have been responding positively to COVID-19 treatment, according to a top Red Crescent official. 

"We are receiving positive signals from the doctors who are taking care of seriously ill people [undergoing immune plasma therapy], Dr. Kerem Kınık, head of the Turkish Red Crescent Society told Anadolu Agency.

Information Campaign on April 17th - The World Hemophilia Day, under the Motto “Get involved!"

In April 2020, the Bulgarian Hemophilia Association once again organized an information campaign to support people with hemophilia. In connection with the state of emergency and the measures imposed by the Government for the prevention of the COVID-19 epidemic, the Association cancels the event Cycling Together.
