The crash of 2 AH-64 Apache Attack Helicopters

Three soldiers were killed and the fourth was injured.
Two soldiers died at the scene of the crash, near Healy, and the third died on the way to a hospital in Fairbanks, the military said. The fourth soldier is in hospital due to injuries.
The names of those killed have been withheld until the next of kin have been notified, the military said.

Greek helicopters operate in East Med during exercise

The Greek Army has released photos taken during a Greek-Israeli military exercise. During the drill, which took place late October, four Apache helicopters and two Chinook transport helicopters flew from the Stefanovikeio airbase in the Greek region of Magnesia to Israel, before returning to Greece via Cyprus, the General Army Command (GES) said.

Greece participates in Operation Bright Star 2018

Greece took part in the multinational military exercise Bright Star 2018 that began on September 8 and ended on Thursday.

Land, air, naval and special forces from Greece, Egypt, the US, Jordan and Saudi Arabia took part in the exercise off the coast of Egypt.

It was coordinated by the Egyptian Armed Forces and the US Central Command.

The footage below shows the helicopter crashing into the sea and capsizing. Fortunately, both crew members escaped safely.

Greek army helicopter crash lands in northern Greece; pilots unharmed

A Greek army helicopter crash landed during exercises off the coast of Halkidiki in northern Greece on Tuesday morning, with both pilots emerging from the wreckage unharmed.

The causes of the crash, which occurred at around 9 a.m. in the Gulf of Strymon, east of Halkidiki, are being investigated.
