NATO to Deploy AWACS Aircraft from Germany to Romania
NATO wants to "monitor Russian military activity" and at the same time support the "increased presence of the Alliance in the region" and therefore deploys AWACS (Airborne Warning and Control System) surveillance aircraft from Germany to Romania. They should arrive in Bucharest next Tuesday, according to a NATO media release, quoted by DPA
German cabinet approves more troops for AWACS deployment in Turkey
The Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS) aircraft will be based at an air base in the Central Anatolian province of Konya. They will be used for reconnaissance in support of air strikes against ISIL targets.

NATO begins periodic surveillance of Turkish airspace
The Turkish General Staff has announced that a NATO Boeing E-3A Sentry Airborne Warning & Control System (AWACS) aircraft has begun surveillance in Turkish airspace as part of assurance measures for Turkey, while noting that NATO's mission would be conducted "periodically" in the coming months.
