Boeing said on Feb. 6 its global services unit has signed deals worth nearly $1 billion at the Singapore Airshow in areas like parts, maintenance, modification and training.

Frenetic selling in the closing weeks of 2017 saw Airbus overhaul Boeing’s recent lead in the global jet market to win their annual order contest for the fifth year running, but doubts remain over the future of its flagship A380.

Boeing reported record commercial plane deliveries for 2017 on Jan. 9 and said cargo and customer passenger trends continued to look strong for 2018.     

Greece's largest carrier Aegean Airlines said on Monday it flew 6 percent more passengers last year, mostly on international flights, hitting a record 13.2 million passengers.

Aegean, a member of the Star Alliance airline group, improved its load factor to 83.2 percent last year from 77.4 percent in 2016, riding on a strong tourism year.

Russia and United Arab Emirates discuss the possibility of co-production of passenger airplanes, Sergei Chemesov, head of Rosthev Corporation, told reporters at the aviation exhibition in Dubai, sega reports. 

The aircraft would be a modification of the MC-21, and will be designed for 250 passengers.
